DEAR HORMONE ENTHUSIASTS,
As we head into 2026, we wanted to do something a little different.
Instead of a typical update, this issue looks back on the year that brought femmli to life.
We started femmli with a simple belief: women deserve to understand what is happening in their bodies and to feel confident acting on that knowledge. This year was about turning that belief into something real. Through conversations with women, doctors, researchers, and partners, we began building toward a future where women are more informed, more empowered in their care, and less alone in navigating their health. What started as a question became a direction, and then momentum.
That momentum came with lessons. These are the lessons we are carrying into the new year.
LESSON 1: TRUST YOURSELF
We are more capable than we think.
A few months ago, after an already long week and right before a flight, Dani stepped onto the stage at nference x Nucleate AI in Healthcare Pitch Competition.
She trusted herself, and… she won!!
That moment reminded us to, respectfully, f*** impostor syndrome. Trusting ourselves goes a long way. And sometimes, that’s all we need.
LESSON 2: PROGRESS OVER PERFECTION
Especially at such an iterative stage, momentum is much more powerful than ‘perfect’.
We spent months debating flows, wording, colors, and features. And then we finally did the thing we’d been circling around:
We finished the first draft of our MVP!!! Little sneak peak to the right:

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. Is it real, tangible, and testable? Yes. And that’s everything we need at this stage.
This milestone unlocked momentum, confidence, and set us up for the next round of PMR.
As you know, the PMR life never ends, so if you know any women who would be interested in chatting with us, please share this blurb with them:
“A few friends of mine are building a start-up in the hormonal health space and are looking to speak with women in the U.S., ages 40–55+, about their perimenopause journey. The chats are ~20 minutes, confidential, and require no prep. Your input will directly shape what they build. Here’s the Calendly link to sign up”
LESSON 3: JUST DO IT
Don’t overthink it. Pull a Nike.
For a long time, licensing conversations felt intimidating. Although we had made significant progress, our impostor syndrome (*cough cough* reference Lesson #1) told us it was too early, and it felt too “in the future us.”
And then, thanks to the wonderful advice of our mentors, we just started having conversations.
Once we reached out and started talking, what felt opaque began to make sense. We didn’t walk away with every answer, but we gained enough clarity to move forward with intention.
LESSON 4: IT ONLY TAKES ONE
Rejections are inevitable, but you only need one yes to keep moving.
This year, we have applied to countless programs and grants. We are incredibly grateful that our hard work led us to two meaningful yes’s:
Visible Hands’s Boston Fellowship and
MIT Sloan’s Advanced Ventures GSD Class: Building an Entrepreneurial Venture
More than anything, they gave us a starting point. They believed in our mission early, asked thoughtful questions, and reminded us that momentum often starts with a single ‘yes’. We have grown so much through both of these programs, and we are beyond excited to continue that growth into next year.
LESSON 5: ALLOW YOURSELF TO HAVE FUN (AND TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF)
Burnout helps no one. You cannot build something meaningful if you are running on an empty tank.
From the onset of building femmli (back when we were still called Precisia… #throwback), we have been clear about the kind of culture we want to build. This clarity has guided how we work and what we prioritize. As such, our values matter deeply to us.
We carry impact in our DNA (Impact). We work for and with our communities to empower our people and make an impact that spans generations.
We walk in the shoes of others (Empathy). We put ourselves in the place of others, showing compassion, and avoiding judgement.
We win when everyone wins (Collaboration). We foster teamwork and share both the work, the lessons, and the wins.
We trust each other (Trust). We believe that trust is not just given – it is cultivated through transparency, integrity, and respect.
We put our hearts in what we do (Passion). We approach our work with passion, enjoying each step, appreciating and recognizing that the process of achieving our goals is an important and enriching part of the journey.
We are building femmli because women are done carrying discomfort in isolation. That belief shows up not just in the product, but in how we are building.
To our mentors, advisors, early users, friends, family, and cheerleaders: thank you for trusting us, challenging us, and walking alongside us this year. And to everyone who read this newsletter, shared a post, took a call, or said “keep going” at exactly the right moment: We felt it. Truly, thank you.
Looking ahead, we’re starting this new year grounded, excited, and committed to continuing to build femmli with intention.
Happy New Year!
Wishing you all the best for 2026! 🫶🏼
