femmli is developing a patch to track hormones in real time, helping women experiencing perimenopause finally speak their bodies’ language. We are Dani, Nadeen, and Lorenzo, and we are excited to have you here!

TLDR: June was a full-sprint month. We're a third of the way into MIT study recruiting and more than a third of the way to our raise, one month in. Our new website is live, our social reboot is underway, and we're closing in on partners for both software and hardware. Let's get into it!

DEAR HORMONE ENTHUSIASTS,

Progress stacked up fast this month across the board. The raise is moving, the study is filling up, our new website is live, and we have updates on both the socials reboot and the hardware partner front.

New to this newsletter? Check out our past issue here. And to everyone who has been with us since issue one: we see you, and we would not be here without you. 🫶🏼

IV. Fun Fact of the Month

MOMENTUM

MIT Clinical Study Recruiting: Our clinical study at the MIT Center for Clinical and Translational Research is officially recruiting, and within a week of launching we have already received on third of our target participants' in the screening process and more quickly signing up. Every sign-up gets us closer to real data on the link between continuous tracking and perimenopause symptoms.

Fundraise Update: We're more than a third of the way to our raise, 1.5 months into fundraising at full speed. We've logged 45 investor meetings and counting. And we’re not stopping here, we're hitting the gas even harder.

New Website: Our website got a make-over! Take a look and let us know what you think, your feedback genuinely shapes what we build next. We also opened a VIP waitlist membership, with only 95 out of 100 spots left. Sign up and share with any friends who'd want early access and a front-row seat as we build.

Socials Reboot: We're building the strongest community for hormonal health, for the women living it and everyone who supports them. We've posted 6 new times this week, with guidance from some fantastic GTM advisors helping us sharpen the strategy behind it. Follow us on Instagram and share with friends who'd want to follow along too. The more people in our community, the louder our voice gets.

Software Development Partner: We are in final conversations with software developers to bring femmli's product to life. Can't say much more yet, but we are close, and we cannot wait to share.

Hardware Development: After working through key development milestones, we are almost to execution on the first stage of the biosensor development with a hardware partner. This stage is about discovering and developing the biological building blocks that let us detect estradiol, our primary target hormone, with built-in checkpoints to keep us moving smart, not just fast. This work kicks off the biological core of our sensor, fully owned by femmli. We are also in early conversations with a few downstream manufacturing partners to start thinking ahead to what production looks like. More to come!

WHAT’S NEXT

1 - Close the Raise: We're close, and we would love to bring a few more of you along for this final stretch.

2 - Begin Updating the App: Finalizing and kicking off app development of femmli’s software product.

3 - Grow Our Community: Continue executing our social media strategy to build out our community organically.

WE WOULD LOVE YOUR HELP

Help Us Close the Round: We are in the final stretch of our raise. If you are interested, or know someone who might be, please reach out!

Study Recruiting: As we close out recruiting for our MIT study, if you know any women who might be interested in participating, we would love an introduction!

"Some friends of mine are launching a clinical study at MIT on perimenopause and continuous hormone tracking. They are looking for women ages 40 to 55 experiencing symptoms like irregular periods, hot flashes, night sweats, or sleep disruption. If that sounds like you, fill out this survey."

Bringing on Social Media Advisors: Beyond our fantastic GTM advisors, we are looking to bring on three social media advisors. Ideally a mix of a perimenopause influencer, a medical voice, and someone with a different angle we might not have thought of yet. If anyone comes to mind, please send them our way!

FUN FACT OF THE MONTH

A recent essay in Science Politics made a point worth sitting with: roughly one in three American women over 40 deal with peri/menopause symptoms severe enough to disrupt their daily lives, many of which actually look strikingly similar to warning signs of cancer. [source]

It is a sobering reminder of how much overlap and confusion still exists around women's symptoms, and exactly the kind of clarity we are building femmli to provide. 💜
